In this series, I position the human body as no different to the textures, weight, and forms of the natural landscape, using black-and-white analogue photography to distill the differences between flesh and stone. The work seeks to abandon modern notions of individualism and human self importance, proposing instead that the body is part of a vast, interconnected web of life, and thus removing a hierarchy. Human presence is balancing between interaction and interconnection, I seek to encourage viewers to reflect on their relationship with the world around them. “You are the universe experiencing itself as human for a little while” - Eckhart Tolle
